Love is a friendship set on fire.

I've always loved that quote, especially since I married my best friend and our love really is a friendship set on fire. We became friends at the young age of 15 & 16, went seperate ways but remained friends until my junior year of college in 2005 {I was 21, he was 22} then started dating. Two years later, he popped the question and we recently had the wedding of our dreams in August 2008. After 9 months of marriage, yes he's still my best friend and even though we have endured many obstacles most newlyweds never face, it has added an unbelievable strength to our marriage and we look forward to our anniversary in 3 months! After hearing Whitney & Ray say their vows this past weekend, it reminded us of the vows we take as husband and wife and I thank the good Lord everyday for blessing me with a wonderful husband who is also my amazing best friend.

"Love is a friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet, understanding,mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad. It settles for less than perfection, and makes allowances for human weakness. Love is content with the present. It hopes for the future and it doesn't broodover the past. It's the day-in and day-out chronicle of irritations, problems,compromises, small disappointments, big victories, and working towardcommon goals. If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you don't have it, no matter what else there is, it is not enough, so search for it, ask God for it, and share it!"

{we never take good photos together because most of the time I'm always behind the camera! Before Whit & Ray's wedding, my friend Cameron was here at the store and was so sweet to take a few photos of us all dressed up. Cameron ~ you did such a great job, I think you should quit your day job!}

{we could never make it without our sense of humor}
