What a difference a year can make!
Last year, we started a tradition of taking family photos on the beach. I love traditions and think an annual beach trip with Chad's family [and also with my family - like we did on our cruise back in May] is a great idea. It lets us take one week out of our hectic busy lives to just "be together" and enjoy well, family.
We go through life day by day, month by month, year by year. People die. Babies are born. Lives are changed.
I've learned first hand how your life can be changed in a split second, so I have a new found passion for documenting the changes from season to season, year to year.
Here we are last year in Garden City.
{from left} Wayne, Monica (Chad's sister), Josh, Teresa (Chad's parents), twin #1 Jackson, Chad, me, and twin #2 Maddox. The twins were two years old! We were a family of 8.
one year later.
The twins are 3 years old and expecting a new baby brother in December. Next beach trip we will be a family of 9!
Isn't it amazing how God has a plan and a purpose for us EACH YEAR?
Just like the ocean tides, high and low, take place all day everyday, so do the days of our lives.
{wait, did I just take that from Days of our Lives soap opera? No? That's "like sand through the hourglass".
Ok, continue on...}
They are nonstop. They are constant.
Minute by minute. Hour by hour. Day by Day. Month by Month. Year by Year.
That my friend, is how time flies before your eyes, so until next year's beach trip I'm going to savor every second of the year ahead and be thankful for each memory we make along the way!
More photos from our beach trip and of the precious Ware family coming soon...
