// our weekend //

This past weekend one of my oldest friends (and I say oldest as in "we've been friends the longest", not that she's old :) got married. We've been friends since birth. Literally. Our moms were friends and we were born three days apart, in the same hospital...on the same floor...at the same time. We went to different elementary schools and our moms changed jobs, etc... but we met back up at high school and have been pretty close ever since!

Here we are at my first birthday party...

Flash forward THIRTY years...
We blinked. Seriously, how did this happen?

I hardly took any pics at the rehearsal dinner, but check out this cake. Ohmygah. Jared (the groom) is certainly a good ol' country boy like most around here, so this was his grooms cake - made by Holly's Cakes in Anderson, who also did their wedding cake and our wedding cake actually (and my sister's...and so on) She is so talented. Everything you see on this cake is edible.

Here's some of us bridesmaids before getting ready to walk down the aisle.
Just a little bit excited...

photobooth fun...

Her sweet niece is oh so precious. I could eat her up with a spoon!

I actually took Kelly's bridal portraits last month in Abbeville on Trinity Street with one of Jared's favorite cars. Love.

So that was our excitement this weekend! Oh wait, no one more thing...

The wedding was at 4pm, so with the rain delay we were able to catch most of the Carolina game afterwards and in case you haven't heard, ummm WE BEAT GEORGIA!
Holy cow, I am pretty sure I shaved years off my life watching that game. So great.

Yesterday felt SO amazing, very cool and "Fall-like" so we took Cade down to our barn and began to clean out like maniacs. Starting to freak out a bit with all we have to do in such a short amount of time before we move. We plan on doing a little bit every chance we can and this much-cooler weather will certainly help. It's also fun finding treasures. My dad was an avid car-a-holic. He worked on cars, had a car dealership, etc... after he stopped working on the railroad. I found some of the coolest vintage prints for Cade's big boy room in the new house. So excited about these...

 Speaking of the new house, we had to run over to meet with the HVAC guy again yesterday and I was surprised at what all they got done on Thursday/Friday. One good thing about not being so close is we can't always get over there every evening, so it's a nice surprise when we do go by and see so much done.

Of course my question to Chad was ...
"Now just WHO is going to be getting up there to take those stickers off the windows?" HA!
Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!
